Parvez Mallik, senior joint secretary general of the UK chapter of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and a nomination aspirant for the Khulna-4 constituency, has pledged to undertake comprehensive development initiatives for the long-neglected Abnali area in Terokhada upazila.

Addressing a grassroots election yard meeting as chief guest on Wednesday evening, Mallik said, “When the BNP returns to power, the country will prosper in both production and development. The BNP has always stood with the people and worked to fulfill their aspirations.”

He further remarked, “We no longer want to see Abnali left behind. Special development programs will be taken up in communication, education, healthcare, and agriculture. The BNP is a people’s party — and it will return to power through the people’s mandate.”

Highlighting the party’s long-standing commitment to democracy, voting rights, and justice, Mallik added, “Our goal is to bring smiles to the faces of farmers, workers, and day laborers across Bangladesh.” He urged everyone to cast their votes for the BNP’s election symbol, the ‘Sheaf of Paddy’.

The meeting, organized by the local unit of the BNP, was presided over by Md. Daud Ali. Among the special guests were former upazila BNP general secretary and former chairman Md. Robiul Hossain, former organizing secretaries Md. Delowar Hossain Dilu and K.M. Mostak Ahmed. The event was conducted by BNP leader Robiul Islam Lakhu.

Also present were Lalim Sheikh, Golzar Alam, Morad Biswas, Sabuj Hossain, Robiul Biswas, Samad Hossain, Faruk Hossain, and Billal Hossain. The event drew a large turnout, with enthusiastic slogans and cheers resonating throughout the Abnali area.
